Irrespective of technological prospects and innovative advancements, the African continent, being one of the world’s very last frontiers, is hamstrung by a cornucopia of unique challenges. Rather overly many to exhaustively mention, these complications prove all too resilient in the face of strong-armed efforts to champion an economic turnaround.
Though tech has positively come to stay and effectuate a change of tide, the continent is probably several more decades away from becoming a fully and gainfully digitized economy. In other words, unlike the rest of the world, the region’s technology landscape is yet to take off, as there remains much to explore, discover and solve.
