MTN And Google Partner To Train 40 SMEs On Digital Marketing

In a move to continue in the line of empowering Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) with the requisite skills, MTN in partnership with Google has trained 40 entrepreneurs on the tenets of effective digital marketing strategies and their implementation.

The group comprises dynamic SMEs who run businesses in various sectors, all of whom were empowered in what was a 4-hour session to gain first-hand experience on the way to use digital tools in maximizing their businesses. The facilitators of the program threw light on how the businesspersons can effectively promote their ventures leveraging various digital tools with a limelight on owning business websites, running business ads, and leveraging social media amongst others.

Talking on the experience, one of the entrepreneurs, Deekor Legborsi, who is the CEO of Squirrel Technologies, disclosed that it was a rewarding timeout. “I speak for the other partners when I say that partnering MTN has not been a let-down as it has opened the tunnels to other businesspersons as well as prospective entrepreneurial opportunities.”

The MTN General Manager of Enterprise Marketing, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka who was stood in for by Bridget Enuma, the Manager of Enterprise Business, said that: “Since 2001, we have consistently been in the provision of innovative and customized solutions for our partners to help their businesses thrive maximizing profitability”. This she used to reiterate MTN Business’ objectives with its partners.

The entrepreneur training is one of the ways MTN shows its commitment to the promotion of SMEs, affording them the enablement to contribute to economic growth with massive potential to create jobs for the teeming populace of Nigeria and generally be the lifeline of the economy.
