By  |  July 20, 2018

The Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) is organizing the second leg of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum which will be held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on 25th and 26th July.

This two-day forum themed “Connect. Accelerate. Grow: Phase II” is expected to convene more than 300 participants and provide a platform that will enhance the sensitization process of distributing GIPC’s strategy and provisions of the GIPC ACT 865. It will also expose the benefits entrepreneurs can derive from the act and create an avenue for captains of industry to associate and relate with young entrepreneurs. By forming a relevant and sustainable avenue for mentorship.

This second edition of YEF 2018 will as well center on the promotion of dialogue between startups and government at the highest level of influence policy formulation whilst providing training on leadership and entrepreneurship for startups.

The event will highlight an exhibition and avenue for 10 young entrepreneurs to be selected by an in-house GPIC team that will screen through all pitch applications and determine from them the ten most innovative.

To make the event even more robust, a mentoring and Masterclass session will be held for 100 participants who will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis. Still, in line with the entrepreneurship development angle of this conclave, relevant topics will be discussed at the Masterclass and they would include Winning Business and Marketing Plans, Understanding Ghana’s Tax and Incentive Regime, Attracting the Right Finance, Managing the Growth Process, and Developing New Markets in the Advent of Technology.

The Masterclass will be facilitated by some sound minds and seasoned business brains, including Professor Bob Hinson who is a lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School and the coordinator of the International MSc program. Alongside Mr. Kwaku Ampromfi, the CEO of Ampromfi Group.

The event is under the sponsorship of the Ghana Commercial Agricultural Program (GCAP), Labadi Beach Hotel, CITI Business and CITI TV and Media General.
