At the end of 2020, there was a relatively quiet yet million-dollar development in Africa's video streaming industry. A tech-enabled, international company offering on-demand video streaming services (VoD) set up shop overnight in Ivory Coast. Molotov came from France to West Africa, but that didn't quite light the ecosystem's wake. 

At the dawn of 2021, the French tech venture decided to microwave its ambitions to give even more countries a taste of its content. Just like dawn does, this brought the heat up in the African entertainment industry.
