The statement above is probably as profound and succinct as mottos get, especially when that motto is the guiding light for an organisation that seeks to empower the world and make some money while at it.

Andela, a startup that has built a business out of serving up global technology firms with handpicked software engineering talent in historically disadvantaged/excluded regions, is known to have strongly identified with the aforementioned motto all these years.

But things change. Sometimes, brilliance and opportunity are actually in good supply, but the available opportunity is very specific and largely biased towards brilliance of the esoteric order. In which case, something has to give - and quite a few things did give at Andela.
